In order to build a sound home, two things are essential: trust and patience. The evolution of this c. 1790 home has required both. The property was extensively rehabilitated in part with Historic Charleston Foundation and then
purchased in 2020 by a family with strong Charleston ties. The new owners wanted to combine their period property’s traditional roots with contemporary interiors. At the forefront of the design is the family’s contemporary art collection. The result is an interior style that is natural and
casual and a home that is an enjoyable place for family and friends.
